CBT

CBT stands for Compulsory Basic Training and is a course you have to take before you ride a moped or motorcycle on the road.

Compulsory Basic Training is to make sure you are able to ride safely on your own while you practise for your full test.

At Apex Havoc, our training is based around your individual experience and ability, so we can ensure you get the best out of your day and training.

Your Typical Day

Your typical CBT day:

Sign on: Between 7:50 and 8:15am.

Please allow yourself plenty of time to get here and don’t be late. Late arrivals will result with not being accepted in to the training and loss of fees (sorry, no exceptions).

After students have been signed in we are ready to start the day!

We start with a classroom safety briefing and safety equipment chat. Then typically moving on to outdoor training for approx 2-3 hours (this can vary depending on the group)

After a short break and reminder of the highway code we are ready to head out onto the road for a couple of hours.

Although a theory test is not required for taking part in CBT, highway code knowledge is essential for both you and other road users safety. Please pay attention and prepare for some basic Q & A.

Although you cannot fail your CBT, this doesn’t automatically ensure your success on the first attempt. We aim to pass our students, however, if you are unsuccessful, we offer a reduced fee for your 2nd attempt with us.
